England midfielder Owen Hargreaves has no regrets about publicly stated his wish to join Manchester United. The Bayern Munich player, currently suffering a broken-leg, told the Daily Mail: "I said what I would like to have happened and obviously it didn't.

"It's important when you have an opinion that you stick to it, even though you receive some criticism. What happens in the future is not really down to me, all these things started from me doing well as a footballer, hopefully I can (continue to) do that and we'll see where my path leads."
